District-wise breakup for Post Codes 21, 22 and 42 is available across all 26 districts of Andhra Pradesh in the official notification (Annexure to Notification 91), ranging from single-digit vacancies in smaller districts to 44 posts (Post Code 21) in NTR City.

Grand Total across all six notifications: 2,050 posts (378 + 60 + 43 + 1,156 + 200 + 213). Under direct recruitment, 33⅓% of vacancies in each communal category (including EWS) are reserved for women for Post Code 25 (PC Communications), applied as horizontal reservation. Reservation also applies for Special Categories - Home Guard (HG), Children of Police Personnel (CPP), National Cadet Corps (NCC), and Ex-Servicemen (Ex.Ser) - adjusted proportionately within each communal category.

Educational Qualification (as on 01.07.2026)

The onus of proving recognition of educational qualification (such as an Intermediate or SSC certificate or its equivalent) by the State Government rests solely with the candidate, in case of doubt.

Medical Standards

Candidates must have sound health and be free from bodily defects. Visual standards require Distant Vision 6/6 in both eyes and Near Vision 0/5 (Snellen) in both eyes, with full field of vision in each eye. Colour blindness, squint, or any morbid condition of the eye/lids is a disqualification. Physically handicapped candidates, and those with conditions such as knocking-knees, pigeon chest, flat feet, varicose veins, or hammer toes, are not considered for these posts.

Age is reckoned as on 01.07.2026.

The prescribed age limits are not relaxed under any circumstances beyond what is specified. SLPRB does not validate age in the online application form due to the number of relaxation categories - the responsibility for checking age eligibility rests entirely with the candidate.

Candidates who are non-local to Andhra Pradesh will be treated under the Open Category (OC) and must pay the OC fee rate. If a candidate pays the fee but fails to press "Submit" on the online application form, the application will be rejected without notice and the fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Selected candidates receive a stipend during the period of institutional training, as fixed by the Government. On successful completion of training, they are appointed to the regular time scale of pay.

The selection scheme differs by post group. Candidates applying for more than one post within the same notification need to submit only one application form for that notification.

SI (Civil), RSI (AR), SI (SPF) & PC (Civil), PC (AR), Fireman, Warders

• Preliminary Written Test: Two objective papers of 100 marks each - Arithmetic & Reasoning (SSC standard) and General Studies (Degree standard). Marks are not counted towards final selection; it is a qualifying/shortlisting stage only.
• Physical Measurements Test (PMT): Minimum height of 167.6 cm (men) and 152.5 cm (women), with relaxed standards for Aboriginal Scheduled Tribe candidates from notified agency areas.
• Physical Efficiency Test (PET): 1600m run, 100m run, and long jump. Qualifying in nature for SI (Civil) and PC (Civil) posts; carries 100 marks for AR and SPF posts.
• Final Written Examination: Four papers of 3 hours each. Paper I (English) and Paper II (Telugu/Urdu) are qualifying only; Papers III and IV count towards the merit list.

SI (Communications) and SI (PTO)

• No Preliminary Written Test for these technical posts.
• Candidates proceed directly to Certificate Verification and PMT, followed by a qualifying 1600m run (PET).
• Written Examination: Three papers - English (100 marks, qualifying), Arithmetic & Reasoning (100 marks), and a Technical Paper (200 marks). Final merit is based on Papers II and III, totalling 300 marks.

PC (Communications)

• No preliminary test.
• Selection is through PMT, a qualifying 1600m run, and a single objective Technical Paper of 200 marks that decides final merit.

SCT Constables (Mechanics and Drivers)

• No preliminary test.
• PMT and a qualifying 1600m run.
• Mechanics candidates must clear a Trade Test, and Drivers candidates a Driving Test - each carries 100 marks with a minimum of 50 marks required to qualify; both tests are qualifying in nature only.
• Final selection is based on a 200-mark objective Technical Paper (3 hours).

Scientific Assistant (FSL)

• No physical test or preliminary test.
• Selection is through a single objective written examination of 120 questions for 120 marks (2 hours, English only), followed by Certificate Verification.

Minimum qualifying marks across all written examinations: 40% for OC (including EWS), 35% for BCs, and 30% for SC/ST candidates. Once any event is conducted as part of the recruitment process, the result is treated as final - no second chance, re-test, or re-conduct is permitted under any circumstances. Participation in all prescribed events is compulsory for every candidate, including Special Category candidates.

1. Create a valid personal Email ID and keep it active until the selection process is fully completed, as all communications including call letters are sent via email.
2. Visit the official website, https://slprb.ap.gov.in.
3. Register with your basic details and note down the registration number generated.
4. Log in and fill in the required details in the online application form (STAGE I).
5. Scan and upload your photograph, signature, SSC certificate, community certificate (BC/SC/ST, if applicable), EWS certificate, and Non-Creamy Layer certificate (if applicable).
6. Pay the application fee online via credit card, debit card, net banking, or other available modes on the SLPRB website, and press "Submit" - failing to submit after paying the fee results in rejection with no refund.
7. Candidates who qualify the Preliminary Written Test (where applicable) must revisit the website to upload the STAGE II application along with scanned copies of further required certificates.
8. Once submitted, no changes can be made - ensure all information matches your official certificates and mark sheets before final submission.

The exact dates for submission of the Online Application Form/Preliminary Written Test will be notified separately through a Press Release, published on the official website shortly.

• The time taken by a candidate in each PET event is recorded using the prescribed electronic timing system; no fraction of measurement beyond the prescribed system is considered.
