Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has announced 50 vacancies for the post of Assistant Security Officer on a contract basis under its 2026 recruitment drive. The notified pay is Rs. 32,950p.m for candidates below 60 years and Rs. 30,000p.m for candidates above 60 years of age. Eligible applicants must submit their online applications and ensure the signed print out is received on or before 31 October 2026. The selection process consists of a Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Written Test, and Interview. Internal employees of BMRCL, including Regular, Contract and Outsourced employees, are not eligible to apply.

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has released a notification for contract appointments in its Operation & Maintenance Wing to look after security and related works in Metro Stations and Depots.

BMRCL has notified a total of 50 vacancies for the post of Assistant Security Officer (Grade - NE-3) in the Operation & Maintenance Wing.

Additional eligibility requirements:

• Kannada knowledge is mandatory.
• This position is advertised for external candidates only. Internal employees of BMRCL, including Regular, Contract and Outsourced employees, are not eligible to apply.
• Candidates must provide a Medical Fitness Certificate issued by a Government Hospital for appearing in the Physical Fitness Test.

The maximum age limit is 62 years as on the date of notification. Serving military personnel who are due to retire on or before 31.12.2026 may also apply.

Allowances are applicable as per the rules of the Company.

The selection process consists of the following stages in order:

• Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
• Written Test
• Interview

Candidates shall be required to complete a 1.5 km run within 10 min up to 11.30 min as per their age group. Early finishers will be awarded additional points. Only candidates who qualify in the Physical Fitness Test shall be permitted to appear for the Written Test.

The Written Test shall be conducted after the Physical Fitness Test and will be of one-hour duration. It will be conducted in Kannada/English language and shall comprise Essay Writing and General Knowledge.

1. Visit the BMRCL website at www.bmrc.co.in and navigate to the Careers section to access the relevant recruitment notification.
2. Select the post applied for and enter all required details in the online application form.
3. After submitting the online application, save and print the computer-generated application form.
4. Affix a recent passport-size photograph on the printed application form.
5. Send the printed application along with self-attested copies of required supporting documents through Speed Post or courier to the specified address, superscribing the envelope as "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ASSISTANT SECURITY OFFICER".

• Recent passport-size photograph affixed on the application form
• Proof of age (Birth Certificate / 10th Standard Certificate)
• Educational qualification certificates from 10th Standard onwards up to the highest qualification
• Experience certificates relating to present and previous employment
• PPO & Discharge Certificate issued by the Competent Authority
• Employment Certificate issued by respective organization (for serving personnel)
• Medical Fitness Certificate issued by a Government Hospital

• All appointments will be on “contract basis” only.
• The tenure of contract appointment shall initially be for a period of 3 years for candidates below 60 years of age and 1 year for candidates above 60 years of age, and may be extended further based on performance and BMRCL requirements.
• Candidates who fail to send the hard copy of the application along with relevant documents will not be considered, even though they applied online.
• Any candidate found guilty of impersonation, submission of fabricated/false documents, incorrect information, or suppression of facts shall be liable for rejection of candidature.
• Shortlisted candidates shall attend the selection/interview at their own cost.
• Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification.
