DCCM Kallakurichi Technical Assistant Recruitment 2026

District Climate Change Mission, Kallakurichi (DCCM Kallakurichi) has announced 1 vacancy for the Technical Assistant post on a contract basis for 19 months. Educational Qualification

Candidates must have obtained an Undergraduate Degree in any of the following departments:
• Ubirological/Biological Sciences (உயிரியல் அறிவியல்)
• Environmental Sciences (சுற்றுச்சூழல் அறிவியல்)
• Ecology (துூழலியல்)
• Forestry (வனவியல்)
• Wildlife (வனவிலங்கு அறிவியல்)
• Public Policy
• Similar / allied fields
Additionally, candidates should possess basic typing skills in both Tamil and English, and basic proficiency in Tamil and English.

Experience and Skills

• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience will be given priority, particularly in a Government Department / Government Office.
• Experience in Data Entry and Data Management.
• Experience in official file maintenance, record keeping, and documentation.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
• Ability to prepare official reports, letters, statements, and PowerPoint presentations.
• Experience in data compilation, tabulation, and office documentation.
• Good communication, coordination, and organisational skills.
• Ability to coordinate with Government Departments and stakeholders.

Age Limit

Applicants must be a resident of Kallakurichi District and must not have exceeded 40 years of age while applying for the post.

• Coordinate DCCM activities with Government Departments and stakeholders.
• Assist in implementation and monitoring of climate change and environmental activities.
• Organise and support capacity-building programmes.
• Collect, compile, and maintain climate and environmental data.
• Prepare reports, official correspondence, statements, presentations, and documentation.
• Maintain official files, records, and Mission-related documents.
• Assist in conducting DCCM meetings, workshops, training, and awareness programmes.
• Document successful climate initiatives and district-level best practices.
• Undertake field visits related to District Climate Change Mission activities.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Mission Director / District Climate Officer.

The selection process consists of the following stages in order:

• Scrutiny of Applications
• In-person Interview
• Typing Test

A waiting list of 2-3 candidates may be maintained as per the DCCM guidelines.

• The engagement is purely on a contract basis for a period of 19 months under Government sanction.
• Monthly remuneration is Rs. 22,000/- with provisions for official travel related to Department of Environment and Climate Change activities as per applicable Government norms.
• Candidates must be residents of Kallakurichi District.
