DRDO LRDE - Consultant Recruitment 2026

Electronics & Radar Development Establishment (DRDO LRDE) has announced vacancies for Consultant (Technical) under a 2026 recruitment drive. Eligible candidates can submit their applications by email or by post to the office on or before 4 November 2026, starting from 14 October 2026. Applicants for the Consultant (Technical) post require a qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or Instrument with 30+ years of experience in Quality and Reliability Assurance, with the pay specified as Level-13A. The selection process involves application screening based on eligibility and Terms of Reference.

Eligibility Criteria and Terms of Reference

• General Eligibility: Officers/Officials who have retired from Central/State Government, PSUs, Autonomous Bodies, Universities, or Govt R&D Organizations possessing practical knowledge and experience as per the Terms of Reference (TOR). Persons with DRDO work experience are given preference. Effective oral and written communication skills are required.
• Post Code 2026/LRDE/356: Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering / Electronics and Communication Engineering / Instrument. Requires 30+ years of working experience in Quality and Reliability Assurance, including project QA of Airborne, Ground Based, and Naval Systems.
• Post Code 2026/LRDE/357: Project Management, System Integration, Inspection, System testing. Expertise in project management, industry partner management, communication, documentation, and system testing.
• Post Code 2026/LRDE/358: Electronics Engineer with experience in Electrical & Electronics. Expertise in testing, maintenance, RF and digital measuring instruments, and RF/digital subsystem integration at the Kolar test site.
• Post Code 2026/LRDE/359: Electronics Diploma / Electrical Diploma. Work experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control of Electrical and Electronic Sub-Systems for Radars (MIL STD 810, JSS 55555, CEMILAC Certification Process by IMTAR).
• Post Code 2026/LRDE/360: Knowledge of electrical interface design and interconnection generation for radar projects.
• Post Code 2026/LRDE/361: Previous experience in civil works and legal matters. Expertise in civil works, MES, EMU coordination, Land and WoDA legal matters.

• Post Code 2026/LRDE/356: Prepare comprehensive Master Quality Assurance Plan for Radar Projects across Ground, Airborne, Naval, Underwater, and Space-borne applications; perform reliability allocation and MTBF apportionment for LRUs and SRUs.
• Post Code 2026/LRDE/357: Project management activities, weekly report generation, MOM of meetings, procurement reports, and coordination with industry partners.
• Post Code 2026/LRDE/358: Integration and testing of radar at LRDE test site in Kolar, Active Array calibration, maintain TR module failure statistics, coordinate repairs, maintain store records, and perform power, cooling, and mechanical checks.
• Post Code 2026/LRDE/359: Prepare Quality Assurance Test Plans, ensure QC tests at LRDE and vendor premises, document test activities, and coordinate Airworthiness Certification with DGAQA, DGQA, DQAN, DQRS, DSQR, and CEMILAC.
• Post Code 2026/LRDE/360: Assist in electrical interconnection scheme design between radar subsystems (RF, Digital, Optical, Power Supply), select cables and connectors, generate drawings, and participate in testing.
• Post Code 2026/LRDE/361: Day-to-day monitoring of civil works, prepare/maintain replies to land-related legal cases, follow up on WoDA notifications, coordinate with MES/EMU, and liaise with state government departments.
