East Central Railway - ALP, JE, Station Master and More Recruitment 2026

The notification includes 1,465 vacancies under 24 post categories. The post-wise vacancy distribution is provided below.

• The applicant must be a regular employee of East Central Railway or Rail Wheel Plant, Bela.
• There is no minimum service requirement.
• Employees who have resigned or transferred from East Central Railway are not eligible.
• RPF and RPSF personnel cannot apply under this GDCE notification.
• Employees cannot apply for the same post on which they are presently working.
• The applicant must possess the required qualification by 15 October 2026.
• The qualification must be recorded in the employee’s service register.

The 50% marks requirement for Commercial Cum Ticket Clerk will not apply to SC, ST, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, ex-servicemen and candidates possessing a qualification higher than Class 12.

Candidates should check the post-wise trade, engineering discipline and medical-standard requirements in Annexure A of the official notification.

The age limit will be calculated as of 1 January 2027.

Reserved-category candidates applying against unreserved vacancies will not receive category-based age relaxation.

The exact selection stages depend on the post selected by the candidate.

• Single-stage Computer Based Test
• Computer Based Aptitude Test, where applicable
• Computer Based Typing Skill Test, where applicable
• Document verification
• Medical examination

There will be a negative marking of one-third mark for each incorrect answer in the CBT. Marks may be normalized when the examination is conducted in multiple shifts.

For the aptitude test, candidates must obtain a minimum T-score of 42 in each test battery. No category-based relaxation is allowed in this requirement.

Candidates appearing for the Senior Clerk post must achieve either of the following typing speeds on a computer:

• 30 words per minute in English; or
• 25 words per minute in Hindi.

The typing test is qualifying in nature. Its marks will not be added while preparing the merit list.

The official GDCE notification does not specify an application fee.

2. Open the Hajipur Headquarters section.
3. Select RRC Patna and open the GDCE section.
4. Click the application link for notification number RRC/ECR/HRD/Rectt/GDCE/2026.
5. Select the New Registration option.
6. Enter the 11-digit employee ID and date of birth.
7. Provide the required personal, service, educational and contact details.
8. Log in using the registration number and password received through email or SMS.
9. Upload the required photograph, signature and supporting certificates.
10. Select eligible posts and enter the post preferences carefully.
11. Review and submit the online application.
12. Save the submitted application as a PDF or take a printout for future reference.

Only one online application should be submitted. Candidates do not need to send an application printout or copies of certificates to RRC/ECR by post.
