Nationality

Candidates must be citizens of India. Persons who have migrated from Pakistan with the intention of permanently settling in India or subjects of Nepal are also eligible, subject to obtaining a certificate of eligibility from the Government of India.

Essential Technical Skills

• Proficiency/ Good knowledge of Python
• Solid foundation in Signal Processing concepts (e.g., Time Domain, Frequency Domain, and Time-Frequency domain)
• Proficiency in MATLAB for signal analysis, and system modelling
• Good communication skills

The selection mode and testing of applicants for shortlisting and selection shall be decided by the Institute. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted for test or interview.

2. Check the relevant advertisement number Advt.207/2026.
3. Register and apply online using your registered login ID (email).
4. Fill out the required details in the application form carefully. Note that applications cannot be edited or reverted once submitted.
5. Select multiple positions prior to final submission if you wish to apply for more than one position under the advertisement.
6. Submit the online application on or before 20.10.2026.
7. Take a printout of the successfully submitted application form and keep it safe for document verification, test, or interview when called.

• All positions are on a purely contract basis initially for 6 months and extendable up to 15 months based on performance.
• Completion of the contract period will not confer any right for further extension, regularization, or permanency at the Institute.
• Separate applications must be filled for each post. The system accepts a single application per registered login ID for an advertisement.
• Candidates should not apply twice for the same post; multiple applications will lead to rejection of candidature.
• Applicants currently working in any project at IIT Madras must apply through the proper channel or produce a No-Objection Certificate at the time of document verification/test/interview.
• Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
