In case of travel on outstation duty, eligible traveling and halting allowances at par with Officers in SMG Scale IV (subject to their cadre eligibility) of the bank shall be paid. No other allowance, payment, benefit, or facility from the bank shall be payable.

Intimation charges are non-refundable and must be paid through Online Mode only from 29.09.2026 to 09.10.2026 (both dates inclusive). Bank transaction charges for online payment through internet banking (other than IOB) or credit card must be borne by the candidate.

The selection process consists of a Personal Interview carrying an aggregate of 100 marks, focusing on subject knowledge, communication skills, and presentation and attitude.

Personal Interview

Only eligible candidates will be called for a personal interview based on details provided in the online application. The interview process carries 100 marks. Final selection is based on the marks obtained in the interview process and according to merit ranking.

1. Go to the bank's website at www.iob.bank.in and click on the "Careers" page to open the link "Engagement of Advisor – Customer Service on Contract Basis".
2. Click on the apply online link and register online by clicking "Click here to Register Online" to receive a Registration Number and Password.
3. Click "Click here to Apply Online" and enter all required details in the online application form.
4. Upload a scanned photograph and signature in accordance with the specifications in Annexure I.
5. Verify all filled details using the "RECHECK" or "PREVIEW" button before clicking the "Submit" button, then view the "Application Successfully Submitted" message.
6. Click the "Upload Relevant Documents" menu to upload the required documents in PDF format (each less than 200KB).
7. Click on "Online Payment of Intimation Charge" to pay the non-refundable fee of Rs. 1000/- through Debit Card, Credit Card, or Internet Banking.
8. Print the system-generated online application form by clicking "Print your Application" and save it for future reference.

• Birth Certificate / SSC Certificate for proof of date of birth
• Final Degree Certificate in respect of passing Graduation, Post-Graduation, CAIIB, or other professional courses (as a single PDF file if multiple degrees)
• Work Experience Certificate along with relieving or retirement letter
• No objection certificate from your bank, wherever applicable
• Printout of the online application form along with the online payment e-receipt

• Officials must have retired from bank services (Public Sector Banks) in the normal course or on superannuation, including VRS.
• Candidates who retired under CRS or any punishment are not eligible to apply.
• No case should be pending against the retired officer at the time of application submission or during empanelment.
• The term of office is for a period of 03 years, subject to annual performance reviews.
• The engagement can be terminated by one month's notice on either side or salary and allowances in lieu thereof.
• The appointment is on contract and does not constitute an offer of employment or regular employment in the bank.
• Provisions of PF, gratuity, and pension do not apply to this engagement.
• Canvassing in any form will be treated as disqualification.
