Kalakshetra Foundation Consultant (Outreach and Museum) Recruitment 2026

Kalakshetra Foundation (कलाक्षेत्र प्रतिष्ठान) is recruiting for 1 post of Consultant (Outreach and Museum) on a contract basis. Candidates apply by post on the Annexure-I form, sent to The Director, Kalakshetra Foundation, Anna Street, Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai - 600 041. • A photograph, fixed in the box on the form.
• Your name (in BLOCK letters), your address for communication, your date of birth (in Christian era), two mobile numbers and your email ID.
• Your educational qualifications (Class X, Class XII, Diploma, Degree, PG and Others), with the year of passing, the University and the % of marks for each.
• Your experience in chronological order, with the total in years, months and days. For each job, give the designation, the organisation, the nature of duties and the From/To dates.
• A description of your experience in Outreach activities and in Museum Curation.
• Your knowledge of Bharatanatyam / Carnatic Music.
• Your knowledge of the South Indian languages Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada: whether you can speak, read and write each one.
• Why you consider yourself suitable for the post, and any other information you wish to add.
• A signed declaration, with the place and date.

There is one post, Consultant (Outreach and Museum). The salary is commensurate with the experience.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree from a recognized University or Diploma/Post Diploma from Kalakshetra Foundation.

Desirable Qualifications

• Knowledge in the field of art and culture especially in the field of Bharatanatyam/Carnatic Music/Visual arts/Crafts.
• Knowledge in Tamil, Hindi.

Required Skill Set and Experience

• Excellent writing / editing and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability with social media management and promotional / marketing strategies
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of layout and design for print and web-based promotional materials
• Ability to work on time bound tasks, organize work assignments, set priorities and meet deadlines
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable in order to contribute to problem-solving activities within a growing organization
• Ability to work and co-ordinate with diverse groups of individuals
• Solid computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, CorelDraw etc.)
• Experience in management of online streaming platforms
• Organizing Webinars through Video conferencing platforms
• Creativity in presentation of concepts
• Cataloguing of museum artefacts under different categories
• Maintenance of backups of all data and storage of data as per the guidelines of Kalakshetra Foundation
• Taking care of museum artefacts

Age Limit

Candidates must not be older than 45 years on the closing date for receipt of applications, which is 6 November 2026. The competent authority in Kalakshetra Foundation reserves the right to relax the eligibility criteria and other terms and conditions for deserving candidates.

Nature of Appointment

The appointment is on a contract basis for one year. It is extendable on a year-to-year basis, subject to the candidate's satisfactory performance during the contract. In the declaration on the form, candidates accept that the appointment, if selected, is purely temporary with no claim to any regular appointment.
