Kalakshetra Foundation Tutor (Music) Recruitment 2026

Kalakshetra Foundation, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, has invited applications for the post of Tutor (Music). Applications are to be sent offline and must reach the organisation by 23 November 2026.

The post is for Chennai. Qualification required: Class Xth pass and Diploma or Degree holder in Carnatic Music from a recognized institution. • Written test (Multiple choice questions)
• Skill test (Carnatic Music – Vocal/Mridangam/Flute)
• Written test consists of 200 multiple choice questions for 200 marks with 3 hours duration.
• Skill test for 100 marks includes practical test in Carnatic Music – Ragas, Talas, Mano dharma sangeetham.
• Final merit list will comprise 40% of marks scored in written test and 60% of marks scored in skill test.

• There will be no negative marking for wrong answer.
• Minimum qualifying marks is 100 marks in the written test.

• Application form with recent passport size photo
• One passport size photo (extra) in a cover
• Copy of Aadhar
• Proof of all educational qualifications
• Proof for age
• Testimonials for teaching/working experience
• Caste Certificate if age relaxation is claimed
• Other relevant certificates/testimonials regarding essential and desirable qualifications

1. Submit duly filled application in the prescribed proforma as given in Annexure - I.
2. Fill application using blue/black ball point pen.
3. Super scribe the cover containing the application as 'Application for the post of 'Tutor (Music) in Rukmini Devi college of Fine Arts'.
4. Affix one passport size photograph on the application and provide one more separately.
5. Send by post along with self-attested copies of testimonials to the Director, Kalakshetra Foundation, Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai – 600 041.
6. Make sure it reaches by 23 November 2026.

• Applications received after the closing date or through email shall be summarily rejected.
• Candidates attending skill test should bring their own musical instruments/percussion instruments/sruti box.
