KSSM Staff Nurse Recruitment 2026

Kerala Social Security Mission (KSSM) is filling 2 Staff Nurse posts on contract under the 'Mittayi Project' at Government Medical Colleges, Alappuzha and Kottayam. The completed application, on the prescribed form attached to the notification, goes in person or by post to the Executive Director, Kerala Social Security Mission, Poojappura, Thiruvananthapuram. It must be submitted on or before 6 November 2026, 05.00 PM.

The notification's letterhead describes Kerala Social Security Mission as "a Government of Kerala undertaking to cater to the social security needs of the underprivileged". Its office is in Thiruvananthapuram. The 'Mittayi Project' is an initiative of the Government of Kerala, Department of Social Justice, run under the guidance of KSSM. The envelope must be superscribed "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF STAFF NURSE – MITTAYI PROJECT." The application must be submitted on or before 6 November 2026, 05.00 PM.

The prescribed application form (pages 3 and 4 of the notification) asks for:

• Personal details: name, gender, date of birth (dd-mm-yyyy), age, religion, caste, category and native district, plus a space for a photo
• The district you are applying for (Alappuzha or Kottayam)
• Communication address, permanent address, mobile number and email
• Education: level, stream, subject, issuing authority, year of passing, registration number, result, marks (secured/total) and percentage or grade
• Work experience: name and address of the organisation, the post held, and the start date, end date and duration in completed months
• A signed declaration, with place and date

• Qualification: MSc Nursing (Preferably peadiatric Nursing).
• Experience: The notification lists experience as "if any". It is one of the factors in selection, but the notice does not set a minimum.
• Age limit: Maximum 40 years, as on 06-11-2026.
• Mode of appointment: Contract. The successful candidate must sign a contract agreement with KSSM. The appointment carries consolidated pay and is initially for one year from the date of joining. Depending on the candidate's performance and integrity, the contract appointment may be extended as KSSM requires.
• Place of posting: Government Medical Colleges, Alappuzha and Kottayam. The application form asks you to name the district you are applying for. The notification does not give a separate number of posts for each college.

• Recording and maintenance of data
• Helping the Nodal officer in charge
• Data entry in the 'Mittayi' online portal
• Ensuring the proper distribution of CGM, Insulin Pump and Insulin to the beneficiaries
• Liaison with the parents
• Follow-up, and ensuring appropriate management of each case

• The application in the prescribed format, completed in every respect, with a photo in the space provided
• Self-attested copies of the documents that support your qualification and any experience you claim. If they are missing, the application will be rejected.
• Offer letters, appointment orders, salary slips and similar papers are not accepted as proof of experience
• The originals must be produced at the interview or whenever KSSM asks for them

The recruitment is for an immediate requirement. Selection will be based on qualification, experience (if any), and performance in a written test, an interview or both, as applicable. Applications that are not complete in every respect will not be considered for shortlisting. Ineligible applications will be rejected, and ineligible applicants may be removed at any stage of the recruitment. In both cases KSSM will not send any further communication.
