NLC India GET Recruitment 2026: NLC India Limited (NLCIL), a Navratna Government of India Enterprise, has released Advertisement No. 10/2026 for 143 Graduate Executive Trainee (GET) vacancies in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Mining Engineering through GATE 2025 scores. NLC India Limited has announced 143 Graduate Executive Trainee vacancies across four engineering disciplines. Mechanical Engineering has the highest number of vacancies with 66 posts, followed by Electrical Engineering with 44 posts.

The vacancies are distributed across four operational areas. Candidates must select the area in which they wish to compete.

Important: Mining Engineering vacancies are available only under Area-2. Mechanical Engineering vacancies are available under Areas 1, 2 and 3, while Electrical and Civil Engineering vacancies are available across all four areas according to the notification.

NLC GET Educational Qualification

Qualifications must have been obtained from Indian universities or institutions recognized by UGC, AICTE or the appropriate statutory authority.

Important: Degrees regarded as equivalent, or degrees combining branches other than those specifically notified, will not be accepted merely on the basis of claimed equivalence.

NLC GET Minimum Qualification Marks

The final aggregate percentage is calculated using the marks of all years, semesters or trimesters. Rounding up is not permitted; candidates must meet the exact prescribed percentage.

SC/ST candidates applying against unreserved vacancies must satisfy the unreserved qualification standard without claiming the reserved-category marks relaxation.

Is GATE 2025 Mandatory for NLC Recruitment 2026?

Yes. All applicants must have qualified in GATE 2025 in the paper corresponding to their notified engineering discipline.

GATE 2024 and GATE 2026 scores cannot be substituted for GATE 2025 under Advertisement No. 10/2026.

Can Candidates with Part-Time Engineering Degrees Apply?

Yes. The advertisement expressly accepts full-time and part-time Bachelor's degrees in the listed engineering branches, provided the qualifications are recognized and all other eligibility conditions are satisfied.

Can Final-Year Engineering Students Apply?

No. Candidates must have passed the prescribed qualification by 1 November 2026. Applicants awaiting final results after that date are not eligible.

Is Computer Science Engineering Included?

No separate Computer Science Engineering vacancy or GATE CS paper code is listed in the uploaded detailed Advertisement No. 10/2026. The notified disciplines are Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Mining Engineering.

Graduate Executive Trainees will be inducted in E-2 Grade with a basic pay of Rs. 50,000 per month during their one-year training period. The approximate annual CTC is Rs. 14.50 lakh.

After successfully completing the one-year training programme, GETs will be absorbed into E-3 Grade, with a pay scale of Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 1,80,000 and an initial basic pay of Rs. 60,000 per month.

Other notified benefits include medical treatment for employees and eligible dependants, group insurance, applicable annual performance-related pay and residential accommodation at standard rent, subject to availability and company rules.

Salary Clarification: The CTC is an approximate annual compensation figure, not monthly take-home pay. The advertised basic pay should not be presented as the final net salary after deductions.

Selected Graduate Executive Trainees must execute a service agreement bond of Rs. 3,00,000 at joining.

The three-year service obligation applies after completion of the one-year training period. Candidates should understand this commitment before accepting an appointment.

The application fee is Rs. 854 for UR, EWS and OBC-NCL candidates and Rs. 354 for SC, ST, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen candidates.

How Are Candidates Shortlisted for the Interview?

Eligible candidates will be shortlisted separately for each recruitment area based on their GATE 2025 marks, generally in a ratio of 1:6 or 1:10 against the notified vacancies, as applicable.

The merit list for Area-1, Area-2, Area-3 and Area-4 will be prepared independently, ensuring the applicable reservation provisions.

How Is the Final Merit List Prepared?

The final merit list will be prepared using the total marks obtained out of 100, combining the weighted GATE 2025 score and Personal Interview marks.

If candidates obtain equal final scores at the cut-off, the older candidate will be placed higher. If the tie continues, the alphabetical order of the candidate's first name will be considered.

Is There a Separate Written Examination?

The advertisement does not prescribe a separate NLCIL written examination. The recruitment uses GATE 2025 scores followed by a Personal Interview, document verification and a pre-employment medical examination.

Selected candidates may be posted at NLCIL units, mines, power stations, renewable energy projects or associated establishments within their selected area, subject to organizational requirements.

Posting Restriction: Selected candidates cannot request transfer to another NLCIL plant, unit or office during the initial three years from their date of joining.

NLC India GET Photograph and Signature Upload Requirements

The photograph must measure 3.5 cm × 4.5 cm, be taken after 1 March 2026 and be a high-quality studio photograph. The signature must be written in dark blue or black ink.

Where multiple documents belong to the same upload field, candidates must arrange them chronologically in a single PDF. Uploading another file in that field may overwrite the earlier upload.

Reservation and age relaxation are governed by Government of India rules. Candidates claiming reservation must upload the appropriate certificates issued by the competent authority.

OBC-NCL candidates must produce a valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate obtained on or after 1 April 2026 at document verification.

EWS candidates must produce a valid Income and Asset Certificate obtained on or after 1 April 2026.

PwBD candidates must possess the applicable disability certificate or UDID card. Suitability depends on the engineering discipline and the identified disability categories listed in Annexure I. The notification identifies no PwBD suitability category for Mining Engineering.

Candidates employed in Government, Central/State PSUs or qualifying organizations must submit the required No Objection Certificate.
