UCSL Assistant Manager (Finance) Qualification

Experience

• For category a) educational qualification: Minimum of three years post qualification experience.
• For category b) educational qualification: Minimum of five years post qualification experience.
• Area of experience: Finance and Accounts in a Ship Building, Ship Repair, Commercial Establishment, Port, Engineering Companies, Government Companies / Establishments, or Semi Government Companies / Establishments.
• Experience acquired after the date of passing the stipulated qualification shall only be considered. Period of post qualification experience shall be reckoned as on 28 October 2026.
• All types of training with remuneration including Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentices Act shall be treated as experience.
• Experience certificates obtained from companies registered under the Companies Act 1956 or Foreign Companies of equivalent status shall only be considered.

The upper age limit prescribed for the post shall not exceed 30 years as on 28 October 2026 i.e. applicants should be born on or after 29 October 1996.

Age Relaxation

Other benefits under Contributory Provident Fund, Accident Insurance coverage, Reimbursement of Medical expenses under the Contributory Medical Insurance policy, and a travel allowance of ₹3000/- per month as admissible shall be applicable.

The application fee must be remitted using online payment options (Debit card/Credit card/Internet Banking) through the online application facility from 07 October 2026 to 28 October 2026. No other mode of payment shall be accepted.

The method of selection includes an Objective Type Test, Certificate Verification, Power Point Presentation for assessing work experience, and Personal Interview.

Objective Type Test Pattern

Each question carries one mark and there will be no negative marks. The minimum pass mark for the objective type test is 50% of total marks.

Mark Distribution for Final Selection

• Objective Type Test: 50 marks
• Power Point Presentation for assessing work experience: 30 marks
• Personal Interview: 20 marks
• Total: 100 marks

1. Go through the User Manual and FAQ published on www.cochinshipyard.in (Career page -> UCSL, Malpe) or www.udupicsl.com (Career page).
2. Access the online application portal via the official website from 07 October 2026 to 28 October 2026.
3. Complete the One-time Registration in the SAP Online portal.
4. Fill in all required entries correctly in the online application form.
5. Upload a recent passport-size colour photograph along with certificates in proof of age, educational qualification, experience, caste, and disability.
6. Pay the non-refundable application fee of ₹400/- online using Debit card, Credit card, or Internet Banking (if applicable).
7. Submit the application successfully and ensure the status shows as "In process" under My Applications.
8. Download and retain a soft copy or printout of the submitted application containing the unique registration number for future reference.

• The post is temporary in nature and for a maximum period of five years subject to project requirements and individual performance.
• Applicants should ensure they meet all eligibility criteria before applying; candidature is purely provisional.
• No TA/DA shall be paid to candidates for attending the selection process.
• Call letters shall not be sent by post; candidates must download them via email or the official website.
• The validity period of the rank list shall be up to 18 months from the date of reporting of the last candidate or until a fresh notification is issued.
• Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
• Only Indian nationals need to apply.
