ESIC Chennai Adjunct Faculty/Visiting Faculty Recruitment 2026

ESIC Medical College and Hospital, K.K. Nagar, Chennai will engage 3 Visiting/Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Radiodiagnosis through a walk-in interview on 11 November 2026. The engagement is for the Professor and Associate Professor levels, with an honorarium of Rs. 6,000 per day for Professors and Rs. 4,000 per day for Associate Professors. Candidates need a postgraduate degree in Radiodiagnosis, eight years of experience after the PG degree, and must not be older than 67 years on the interview date. Reporting time is 2.00 PM to 4.00 PM, and late arrivals will not be allowed into the interview.

Educational Qualification

A postgraduate degree as prescribed, or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto, in the department of Radiodiagnosis.

Experience

Eight years of work experience in the concerned specialty after obtaining the PG degree.

Other Conditions

• The candidate must be registered with the State Medical Council/NMC, as applicable, before joining.
• Research publications are not mandatory for faculty retired, resigned or voluntarily retired from Government or other medical colleges when re-engaged on the same designation.
• The application form asks for the age as on the date of interview and whether experience is recognised by MCI/DCI.

• Teaching responsibilities, with at least four sessions a month, each lasting not less than 3 hours.
• Sessions may be theory, small group discussions, practicals, community-based sessions, clinical/bed-side teaching, or radiological imaging, diagnosis and reporting.
• Visiting faculty will not do routine administrative work of the department and will not replace full-time faculty.
• The medical college will collect feedback on their teaching every six months.

2. Interview: selection depends on performance in the interview before the Selection Board. Professor and Associate Professor candidates face a combined interview.
3. Offer: issued on the recommendation of the selection committee, considering the functional requirements.

• Purely contractual engagement for one year, which the Dean may extend for another year based on performance and feedback.
• The engagement may end for unsatisfactory work or misconduct; gross misconduct or negligence leads to termination without notice or payment in lieu of notice.
• No right or preference for regular engagement.
• No claim to PF, pension, gratuity, medical allowances, medical benefits, seniority or promotion.
• Absence of fifteen days without permission counts as voluntary abandonment and automatic termination.
• Attendance must be marked manually and on the Aadhar Enabled Bio-metric Attendance System (AEBAS) every scheduled working day.
• No TA/DA for the interview or for joining.

2. Fill in the form: post and specialty, demand draft particulars, personal details, e-mail (mandatory), Aadhar number, category, qualifications, employment history, research publications (excluding case reports and review articles), training and academic achievements.
3. Affix a self-attested recent passport size photograph and sign the declaration, including the line that a No Objection Certificate from the present employer has been obtained.
4. Report at ESIC Medical College and Hospital, K.K. Nagar, Chennai on 11 November 2026 between 2.00 PM and 4.00 PM for document verification, with the filled form.
5. Wear a face mask, carry sanitizer and maintain social distance, as the notice instructs.

Applications in any other format, or incomplete applications, will be rejected. Any change in the interview date will be announced only on the website.
