RITES Recruitment 2026 - FAQs
FAQ Q1. Can I apply for both AM-Mechanical-II and AM-Mechanical-III?

You can apply for any number of vacancies separately. However, the written test for CL/10/26 and CL/11/26 is held on the same date and at the same time, so check your eligibility and apply accordingly.

FAQ Q2. Is there negative marking in the RITES written test?

No. No marks are deducted for an incorrect answer.

FAQ Q3. How many candidates are called for the interview?

Candidates are called in the ratio of 1:6 to the number of vacancies.

FAQ Q4. Does training or internship count as experience?

No. Training (except on the job training), internship, teaching, academic, fellowship and PhD research experience are not counted.

FAQ Q5. Is an offer letter accepted as proof of experience?

No. You must submit a joining and relieving order or an experience certificate to claim that experience.

FAQ Q6. Will SC, ST and PwD candidates get the fee back?

Their fee is refunded after they take part in the further selection process of written exam or interview, as applicable, and their category certificate is scrutinised. The refund goes to the source account or card used for payment, after deducting GST and bank charges as applicable.

FAQ Q7. What if my mark sheet shows only CGPA?

You must provide the conversion formula used by your university or institution. If it has no formula, submit an undertaking to that effect signed by its authorised representative. A minimum of 6 on a 10-point scale will then be considered as 60%.

FAQ Q8. Does RITES pay travel allowance for the test or interview?

No. The notice states that no fares, TA or DA shall be payable.

FAQ Q9. Does being placed on the panel guarantee a job?

No. Empanelment against a vacancy does not guarantee selection or a right to the job, and deployment depends entirely on project or company requirements.

FAQ Q10. Where will changes to this recruitment be published?

Any corrigendum or addendum will be displayed only on www.rites.com. Other recruitment updates may be sent to your registered e-mail address or uploaded on the RITES website.
