Scouting-Guiding Qualifications (Level-2 and Level-1)
- President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger or Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any section.

- Based on written examination performance, candidates equal to 5 times the number of vacancies will be called for Document Verification, separately for Level-2 and Level-1 posts.

Important Instructions and General Conditions- Candidates should ensure they fulfil all eligibility norms before applying. Qualifications/certificates acquired after the last date of application will not be considered.
- A candidate will be called for the written examination only if considered to fulfil all eligibility criteria as per the application. Candidature remains provisional until certificates are examined at document verification.
- Verification of all documents/certificates is mandatory for appointment. Original documents/certificates must be produced at document verification. No additional time will be given, and candidature of such candidates is liable to be forfeited.
- Candidates giving false information or suppressing facts will be disqualified, their candidature cancelled at any stage, and they are liable to debarment and legal action. Candidates attempting fraud/impersonation are liable to be debarred from future Railway recruitment examinations.
- Candidates found eligible for appointment must pass the prescribed medical examination conducted by the Railway administration.
- Mere selection and recommendation for appointment does not confer any right to recruitment/appointment in Railway.
- A Second class free journey pass from the nearest Railway station mentioned in the application form will be issued to SC and ST candidates whenever they are called at any stage of recruitment.
- Persons appointed against the Scouts & Guides Quota to the category of clerks must acquire the prescribed typing proficiency within two years from the date of appointment. Their appointment will be provisional subject to this, and no additional time will be given; services of those who fail will be summarily terminated.

Annexures Attached to the Notification
- Annexure – A: Format of Certificate of Activeness (to be certified by the Group Leader, District Organising Commissioner and District Commissioner, with name, date and rubber stamp).
- Annexure – I: Declaration proforma for waiver of examination fee by Minority candidates, to be submitted at document verification. Such candidates must furnish a Minority Community Declaration affidavit on Non-Judicial Stamp paper stating that they belong to a minority community notified by the Central Government (Muslim / Sikh / Christian / Buddhist / Jain / Zoroastrians (Parsis)).
- Annexure – II: Income Certificate proforma for waiver of examination fee by Economically Backward Class (EBC) candidates, to be submitted at document verification. EBC means candidates whose family income is less than โน50,000 per annum. The certificate may be issued by: (1) District Magistrate or any other Revenue Officer up to the level of Tahsildar; (2) Sitting Member of Parliament of Lok Sabha for persons of their own Constituency; (3) Sitting Member of Parliament of Rajya Sabha for persons of the district in which the MP normally resides; (4) Union Minister for any person from anywhere in the country.
